NCNW has been a respected member of this community since 1971 when we were chartered by Dorothy I. Height, Chair and President Emerita. We continue the legacy of our founder, Mary McLeod Bethune, through the many public service programs and activities that we provide in this community. We hope that this web site is informative and may inspire you to join us. There is a place for you in our organization if you wish to serve the Co-op City community by contributing your time and talents to NCNW’s purpose. Judith
Roberson Mission Statement: The mission of the National Council of Negro Women is to advance opportunities and improve the quality of life for African American Women, their families, and communities. NCNW fullfills this mission through research, advocacy, national and community-based services and programs in the U.S. and in African countries. |
