Health Fair

Each year, Co-op City Section sponsors a Health Fair. Health professionals and advocates are invited to meet with the entire community to discuss major health issues. Videos are shown, self-examinations are demonstrated, pamphlets are distributed and physicians, nurses and medical social workers speak about the signs and symptoms of diseases, physical and mental. When to seek emergency medical care, avoiding care because of a lack of health insurance, home care availability for the disabled are all problems that are discussed at these Health Fairs.
